EXTRM makes robots large and small from 3Kg to 30Kg

The same parts that make the small, back-packable robots can be used to create a larger robot, in minutes. For rapid and easy transport, robots can be carried as sub-units. These can then be assembled, without tools, into functional robots for immediate deployment.

General specifications for EXTRM Scale 1.6, 2.0, 2.6

Size: minimum length 30cms / maximum length 80cms*

*Without manipulator arm

Endurance: 1 hour to 6 hours (robots can be optimised for lightweight short operation or for extended endurance).

Mobility: wheels, tracks, SCRAM all-terrain System, CLAWWS Stair-Climb System.

Sensors: daylight and thermal imaging cameras, Pan, Tilt, Zoom, Motion Sensing, Gas Detector, Gamma Radiation Detector, Toxicity Detector.

Sub-systems: 2-way audio, floodlights, manipulator arm, disruptor (further systems information available upon request).

Environment: all-weather operation, submersion to 1 metre.

A standard ruggedized Operator Control Unit (OCU) provides wireless link control with the robots no matter what their configuration or their function. Many operations on the robots are automated to make them practical, reliable and effective.

Immediate situational awareness - let the robots take the risk

- Use advanced sensing and data-fusion techniques to investigate pipes, culverts, ducts and difficult-access places

- Identify and neutralise threats

- Loiter undetected to monitor and record

- Establish extended communications networks into denied areas

- Handle, collect or deposit objects remotely
